So I’ve been in the market for a new bed. My mattress is from middle school 😰. I have been doing A LOT of research. I am very particular so I read a million reviews, several blog posts, emailed some of the companies, and compared prices on their websites. Needless to say, I’m a mattress expert now 😂
Since I worked so hard to find the right bed, I figured I would share my findings so you don’t have to.
The mattress that stood out as the clear winner to me was the Idle Sleep Hybrid Mattress.
So let’s start with the basics. What is a hybrid? (Don’t worry, I didn‘t know either.) A hybrid is a mix of foam and coils. That means you get the softness and comfort of memory foam but the support of a traditional coil mattress. In my research I discovered that hybrids are the best option for back pain. They are comfortable yet supportive and can help prevent waking up with pain. I suffer from chronic back pain so I wanted something that was going to help with that and support all parts of my body.
So now that I knew I wanted a hybrid, that narrowed down my search a bit.
Next, I wanted a hybrid that was firm enough that I wouldn’t sink in when my partner got in the bed. My boyfriend currently has an all foam mattress and we tend to sink, which is uncomfortable and it makes it difficult for me to get out of the bed. Idle Sleep has two firmness options: Medium and Luxury Firm. I think medium is better for us because my boyfriend sometimes sleeps on his stomach. Medium should be good for sleepers of all positions but they do have something firmer if that’s what you like.
My next thing was price, I wanted something affordable but not something so cheap that it wasn’t good quality. I found that the price of this mattress was super fair for what it had to offer.
